Hi All,

I'd like to create a semi-transperant area in a dialog box. What would
be the best solution for that. I can control either alpha or
transperancy of the dialog. I dont need to make the window transparent
but to create a semi-transperant spot inside that window. It would be
helpful if you could provide some inputs in this regard

Thanks & regards,
Sarath

I probably can't teach you anything; you will likely ignore most of anything
I say.

My comment is totally consistent with established newsgroups etiquette and
is consistent with comments often made by others in newsgroups.

Not sure what you want.

You want a partially transparent window or only want the controls to be
transparent in the dialogbox?

If you want a paritally transparent window, use a alpha-channel bitmap to
create a window and set layered style on . But there is no solution to
create layered dialog box till now, because no child window can be create
under layered window as I know.

If you want transparent control, sub-class them.

Wish you good luck.
